This comprehensive renovation reimagined a turn-of-the-century Hoboken brownstone as an elegant, highly personalized residence. Period-inspired details, including herringbone oak floors, paneled walls, sculptural marble mantels and a sweeping staircase, honor the home’s historic character, while arched openings and a light, open layout create a natural flow across each level.

At the heart of the home, a dramatic custom kitchen pairs black cabinetry with richly veined stone, warm wood and aged-brass accents. A plaster range hood, heritage-style range, integrated storage and library ladder bring both craftsmanship and character to the space. Throughout the residence, hand-applied plaster finishes, bespoke millwork and carefully selected lighting give every room its own atmosphere, from the full-height library to the jewel-like powder room.

The private spaces continue the same level of detail. Custom dressing rooms, tailored built-ins and spa-inspired bathrooms feature marble vanities, handmade tile, fluted glass and burnished-metal fixtures. Above, a copper-clad rooftop pavilion opens to an expansive terrace with architectural skylights, a private sauna and sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline, completing a transformation that balances historic refinement with contemporary city living.
